Chen Lin and Yue Ming are photographers working for a mysterious organisation involved in surveillance. Under orders, Chen Lin covertly takes photographs of a middle-aged woman having an affair with a schoolboy in an abandoned park. Overhearing snippets of their conversation, she becomes convinced that the woman’s allegedly abusive husband is in fact her own boss. As she learns more of his nefarious past, she begins to suspect that she too is being kept under his watchful eye. Yue Ming remains unconvinced, however, and becomes increasingly detached from Chen Lin as she spirals deeper downwards into a seemingly bottomless pit of unascertainable truths.
